71 GAF 911T - oh so tempting

Seems like a bargain to me. I liked the pictures from German Auto Fest. Did anyone inspect this car close up?

And to think my ST was originally this color. Maybe I should have kept the gold!

I knew I'd seen pics of this car before on the forum. Looks interesting, but why is it been sold by a Porsche wrecker's yard?

I never worry about some of those marketing details. I know they are REALLY s t r e t c h i n g t h e t r u t h . . .

I like the car, color, wheels, 3.6, sport seats, etc. Looks clean.

Is it me, or do those "17" custom race wheels" look an awful lot like welded/modified take offs from a Mustang?

Sure they do, It's the same rim. That's because the American Racing wheels were used on the period track 911s back in the late 60's and 70's.

I understand the inspiration for the look, and kind of like it, but, if those are indeed Ford take offs, referring to them as "custom racing wheels" is a bit of a stretch.

In looking at the lug pockets, I'd be more interested in what had to be done to get them to fit.

Sweet car, even with the...imperfections. Is it really worth $30k?

EBAY 3.6 in an early car - pretty cool - Mustang wheels

http://cgi.msn.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10156&item=4513118734&rd=1

Sorry if it has already been posted, I know the wheels were discussed.

Those are pretty outrageous hosepower claims arent they?

If you look close, you can see some oval inserts under the lug nuts. Beneath those are slots in the wheel oriented along an axis radiating out from the center of the hub. You insert the little ovals with different hole locations through them to adapt a more or less universal five lug wheel to just about any bolt spacing. Kind of a cheesy way to do it.
