Does anyone know this guy?

Does anyone know a guy named Nathan Puspha Sangaran, or a guy named Michael Helton. They were the long time P.O's of my car, and I want to find out my 911's detailed history. The guy who sold me the car said that the P.O moved to Asia. The car had a lot of work done (thousands of $$$) from 1995-1997. From the recipts, Nathan and Michael lived on Louise Dr. in Petaluma. If anyone knows anything about them, or knows anything of how they treated the car (1976 911 cabriolet conversion), I would really like to know. I've tried calling, but no-one is home. The seller only said that Nathan moved to Asia and had to get rid of the car.

Thanks

You might not like what you find out about your car. Or maybe they lost the car due to a divorce and is still bitter about it. Or...

I think he meant "Should might let dead dogs lie " I guess if a dead dog didn't tell me the truth I wouldn't be too upset.

I see what you mean. The car looks like it's been restored. Recipts show a rebuilt engine, transmission, and new shocks for the major money spent. I just want to know more about the P.O.

Thanks

They may not want to deal with you is all. I didn't mean to be confusing. sorry. it just might not be worth your time and effort is all I meant to say. If you fix things when they break, maintain and polish regularly then you will have a great car.
How does it go? These cars aren't worth anything, we only get paid for how well we maintain them. Something like that...

Matt,

Absolutely go chase down all the POs. Use all the power of the internet, trace the title back from what you have and forward from Porsche’s MSO. Some search/locator companies are very reasonable. Carfax might also be a good starting point.

There is great value to you to have the complete provenance of your 911. It is worthwhile to visit the shops where the work was done, even if just by mail or e-mail. Have them search their files as most keep records far longer than required. Pay some money if necessary but I suspect most will enthusiastically support your quest. Current photos and “thank you” notes go a long way.

So what if it went through some difficulties, you know where it is at right now. If you encounter a resistive PO, work around it. Most have fond memories of their prior 911s. You just might luck out and find a 15-year old scrap book.

I think that in the next 25 years, having properly documented provenance may double the value of a 911.

Best,
Grady

I would see if you could find out more info. On My 86 I recieved about 97% of it's history from the person I purchased it from, ans I think that's pretty cool.

On my 78 I got some info from the PO, which acounts for about 15-20% of it's life. But I would love to have more if I could. I tried through the PCA since I believe the car had been active in PCA events, but those jag offs didn't even return my e-mails.
