Is a spool really the best for a corner carver? I thought those were mostly used in a straight line.

I am using the TB One. WOrks great. I love it. I ran a locked diff at Daytona. That worked OK. I had to really soften the front bar to get the nose to turn. But it was great coming out of turns and on the straights.

Yeah, I think they are more useful on High HP "point-n-squirt" cars, ala 935, 917, etc. Probably not very fun to drive with at low speeds, and/or in tight (parking lot) situations.

I am running one of those spool they look very sexy, the car runs straight as an arrow, I am not sure about others but I have no issues turning, in tight places it may take a little effort, not a big deal for me, backing up and turning that takes even more effort and border line a pain, I have taking a turn at 80 mph with no problems. my 0.02

It makes for an effective locked rear axle.....I just finished a semi-season of go-kart racing and if that was any indication of how a car with a locked diff will handle... I didn't like it , especially in the wet. I couldn't control / predict the turn-in behavior..such as it was... when I wasn't doing 360's in the rain ( ! )....

Uhhh..ohh...I don't think it's an option for 95% of time. It pushes in corners, chews tires and CV's and is quite overkill in all but full race conditions, and even then only running on fast circuits with lot's of power.
(Or if doing the "wheel-lock racing") ![]()
