Sway Bar Help

On Sunday, I rebuilt the pedal cluster on my '87 930 and installed a JMH adjustable acc. pedal (great pedal btw). Now, I can't get the front sway bar back on (it's stock). It won't line up with the allen head bolts and the 8mm bolts that bolt through the belly pan, into the sway bar mounts and into the car. I do remember, when I removed the belly pan, the swar bar jumped out of position and the belly pan fell quickly off the last bolt removed, like it was under tension. Is there a trick or sequence I should follow to get it back on? I have spent many hours on this already, jacking up the car in different positions, jacking up the belly pan, etc. I refuse to take it to a shop.

When I replaced mine (20 mm) with new bushings it took a little force to get it in place.
I think I held up the pan with something and got one side of the swaybar up, then I used a "clamp" (powergrip brand) to push the other swaybar mount in place.

You're in luck. Check this thread:
Front suspension squeak
TongTheTarga posted a great fix including photos just yesterday. He was also kind enough to e-mail me a copy before he posted it.

Thanks guys. I don't think I was forcing the sway bar forward hard enough, though I was a little tired...too much CO from my propane heater. I'll have it again tonight.
