No, still a dark dungeon in there! (My flash gives the impression there was light.)

Overall, it was OK. There is a nice white 959 on the opposite wall of your car, with a silver 550 down the wall from that. All of the "classics" look beautiful!

In addition to the obligatory Carrera GT on a stand, there is a mix of 997 Carrera/Carrera S with a bunch of 996 Turbo/GT3's that is probably confusing to the laymen who don't understand how Porsche is doing things ("...two different models, huh?").

I'd like to see some more excitement/technology in there... cutaway cars, cutaway engines, etc...

Fantastic looking car. It is the exact car my father had when I was a kid -- red 67S with Fuchs and no sunroof -- my first Porsche memory and inspiration. He bought his from the Bob Grossman dealership in Nyack, NY in 1967.

I'll look forward to seeing it at the show.

I am taking my 9 year old boy to the LA Auto Show on Saturday. I will be sure to point your car out Sam!

Now I can say I know somebody....

Sam, you can now say your car was featured on Speedvision.

Speed Channel is showing an hour long special on the L.A. auto show, and while the Porsche rep was pimping the Cayenne/Boxster you could see glimpses of Sam's car in the background.

I'll be paying a visit to the car show on Friday. Anyone need a set of driving lights from Sam's car?

Wow, Amir, that pic is poster quality.

Agian, congrats, Sam.

Side Note:
A business associate is good friends with a guy who runs the Porsche display at NY Auto show. Wonder if I can wrangle some passes for some of the Pelicans. I remember years ago I went to a press pre-opening of the show. It was great, no crowds to deal with.
I'll post a seperate thread if I can get something cooking.

How did PCNA come to contact you (directly or indirectly)?

Were they surfing this BBS specifically looking and found your car?

Just wondering if they are lurking.

as they say "it's not what you know it's who you know" or in this case who know's you, most of the mechanical work on the car was done by Andial so they were very familiar with my car and when whoever canceled at the last minute PCNA asked Howard Meister at Andial if they knew of a car that would be right for their display and I got a phone call, and the rest as they say is history, it was very nice of Howard to think of me, having my 67S in the Porsche display at the L.A. Auto Show is a great feeling it's fun just to stand back and watch people come by and check out the car, I'm not what you would call a concourse person, now I'm not trying to say I wouldn't enter the car in a show but that's not why I restored the car, I've owned this car for twenty seven years and this was my first 911 and I wanted the thrill of driving the car as if I had bought it brand new off the showroom floor back in 1967, I still have a few bugs to work out but driving this car is so different then my 87, the sounds and the feel are night and day, it's funny you can wind it out to seven grand in first and it sounds and feels like your going very fast and you look down at the speedo and your doing 35MPH I was going to keep the car completely stock but a friend of mine offered to lone me his sport muffler and since it justs bolts on I thought hey why not, well let me tell you the sound from that sport muffler really makes the total experience just perfect, anyway I could ramble on forever about this car so I'll just leave it at that.

thanks for all the great comments Guys

this is the info. sheet they have at the display

and wouldn't you know it they spelled my name wrong

well.... I mentioned it to them last night and they said they would try to get me one with the correct spelling ( as you get to keep these for your scrapbook )
