SC turbo plus rain.....

Well, I took the 911SC turbo out for a drive today in the rain, first time the car's been wet since i bought it except for when it gets a bath.
The car performed flawlessly even though boost and wet don't mix well, I had no problems. The car is actually more fun in the rain, not sure why, maybe because the limits are lower so I don't have to drive fast to reach them (i don't like driving fast on the street).

I've always avoided driving the car in the rain but that is all changed now. I'm gonna take it out no matter what the weatherman says.
I need to replace the wipres tho, I think they are OEM.

Stock 3 liter, aftermarket turbo kit from BAE. I paid a grand for my kit (used) with a fresh rebuilt turbo, altogether I have about $1200 into the conversion and close to 100 extra hp. I can take it back to stock in a few hours if I need to. Diffinitive thread on these kits is here: (911SC Turbo

Nopers, no fishtailing as I don't like to do stuff like that on public streets although I would have when I was younger It's a beotch getting old.

I got on boost a couple of times but was very careful to have it pointed straight, when the turbo hits it can be dramatic if the tail is hanging out.

I'm up to 8 psi boost and I can really tell the difference the cool dense air makes, the boost hits much harder now and comes in at 2800 rpm.
