A/C WIRING questions (again)

Guys, my 84 Carrera is missing it's console, but I can get the A/C to somewhat blow low (in footwell area) or high (at the dash), but FAR from enough for actual cooling (especially in the Houston weather). I have recently acquired all console switches (from another 84). Does anyone have info, diagrams on hooking these up? I had a small cluster of dash wires and see a cut in the carpet below the console. I now have coolish air, but not really A/C. I don't want to face another Houston summer without even medicre A/C.

I have the Bently and other manuals, but am dyslexic. Where do the new switches hook up to? Is there info you guys can offer? I'll greatly appreciate any help, I'll soon need cooling, I now only am using the dash controls (but acquired console switches). Thanks guys...

I assume you are referring to the temperature control and the fan control switches when you say console? In general using my '88 for reference, the temp switch controls the compressor clutch and the front condensor fan. There's also the temp sensor lead that goes all the way up to the evaporator and must be properly positioned on the fins. The 3 position fan switch hooks up to the thermo-resistor pack in the bottom of the passenger footwell at the entrance to the evaporator box. There are two resistors to control the low and medium speed settings.

I found the Bentley manual diagrams usefully accurate if you can get some help with that.
