Ultimate Flare Install Thread

Hi all...I've got a set of SC flares sitting in the garage, waiting to plump out the rear of my 72 911. I have a ton of questions, and I hope the answers might help this become the de-facto thread on flare installs. I'm a beginner body guy..don't weld yet, but I'm armed with a torch and dangerous. So.

1. What's the preferred method of attachment, wth glue and welding as the two options? I know welding is the tried and true, but the glue folks are coming on strong.

2. What about panel prep?

Maybe someone could post an entire how-to for the world to see, with tips and whatnot. I had a thought that I'd pull the torsion bar covers and stick the right sized pipe in there to make sure alignment was right on. Thoughts?

Also...I'm planning on doing this in the next couple of weeks, and would love some expert advice right there. I'll buy the pizza and beer if someone could come look over my shoulder. Anyone in the Denver area want to help out?

Thanks! It's nice to be back on the list again after so long!
