Whats up with this? Real Story

Previous thread closed. I would like the members to see the OTHER side.
Here was my reply to a certin member.

XXX, I am not going to attack you personally, nor am I going to engage in name calling. I just noticed this post and am quite upset.
Yes I did buy the wheels. I drove 6 hrs round trip to see them. On the phone you told me they were excellent condition $1000 a set of 4. Fine. When I got there I found that they were not in excellent condition. I bought the two for a 70S. I bought them just so the trip was not a complete waste. Did I screw you over?
Take the wheels and not pay?
After having them here for a couple months I decided that they were just not what I wanted for the car. It would be hard to sell them in the condition they were in so I refinished them myself. It took over 12 hrs per wheel. What do you suppose my time is worth?
I really wanted a nice set of anodized ones so I put these up on Ebay. In the end, if you take into account my time and effort I definately lost money. For me it was not a good deal, but I made it and paid you for them. I'm not going to cry over it. A deals a deal.
I just wanted to get the story straight here. I like this forum and the members. Hope there are no bad feelings.

Seems reasonable, which is the problem with people posting disagreements on here to begin with. I think the ideal would be for the two of you to just call and yell at each other, without any of our opinions. We offer nothing, as none of us were there.

As an aside to this I did drive 6hrs round trip to see these wheels. I am up by the Mass border. The seller is way down on Long Island. That is hardly 20 min away. I am however glad I went down. The condition was not close to as described. If I bought these wheels sight unseen I would have been in for a big surprise.
I have bought several parts from this site and have been happy with the outcome. I just bought a set of wheels from Sherman. They were bought sight unseen but were exactly as described. Thanks to an honest member.
The wheels in Long Island were another story. They were quite rough and had serious curb rash. I restored them. It took 12 hrs or more per wheel. First washing and cleaning, then sanding, #150, 250,320,400,600, then polishing, sanding off old paint, masking, painting. If you've done it you know its quite a bit of work. I'll never do it again. In retrospect I should never have bought them.
I did not see the previous post till late. I just wanted here to set the record straight. If anyone doubts my honesty please feel free to check my feedback on Ebay "scylla6". Thank you.

Why be scared? No one has ever died because of posts on this board. . .

. . .

but I'm working on a method of killing someone via a post! If it works I will patent it and use the proceeds to by a nice silver GT1.

Coming soon: A gun you can shoot through the phone. I'm trying to decide if I could make more money by marketing it or by selling the patent to the telemarketing industry so they can suppress it.
