what are your thoughts on this car?

help me out guys. this car has been for sale for over a year. the original price was at about 20 large and now he is down to about 15. curiosity has the best of me now and i am looking at the car this weekend, doubt that there is much to it (read hack job) - but seems that if it really has a 98 twin turbo in it the engine alone would be worth $$$. Any thoughts??http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/2/7/76758727.htm

Guarantee the engine is not a twin turbo.

Wouldn't it stand to reason that just the motor alone would be worth an excess of $15K???

No. Running 3.2s sell for ~$5-6K.

Mrs Smith, What is the reason you are seeking a divorce?

Your Honor, He has this fugly poser car that everyone points and laughs at. Here is a picture....

Ugggg..... Mrs Smith, divorce granted. You get custody of the children, all assets, and all but $800 per month of Mr Smith's future earnings. This just "might" keep him from screwing up another perfectly good car. Next case.

Cheap bodykit on a tired '84.

I would bet that a TT engine has never been near that car.

UPDATE- engine is not a TT...i must admit when i pulled up behind the car and saw the turbo badge i did get excited though (for some reason the wifey didn't.) the car needs interior work, body work and paint. didn't start or drive the car but from the looks of it i don't think it would be very sound mechanicaly either... . so much for a "barn find" TT.

Unless you're dying to have that bodystyle on a car that will be significantly slower than the 911 model it was built to resemble...

...it's an easy pass. Maybe an 8K car?

hope the owner of this car is not a member here because i don't want to put down his car, but if i were to put a value on it i don't see it going for 8k as a resto project. parting it out would probably bring the most $$.
