How to check a wastegate valve

I have a used Wastegate that I bought on Ebay for a 930. How do I check to see if it works properly? also, can these be rebuilt, and does anyone have a schematic on them?

Thanks
Oscar

I would disasemble it to check it out. The wear item is the rubber diaphragm inside the top. I clamp it vertically in my drill press, then undo the 10mm nuts and ease the top off. It's spring loaded. Yes, they can be rebuilt.

You can also test function by putting about 10-15psi (depending on installed spring) into the side port (the top is just a vent).
