Hans Stuck at the Ring

This truly is one of the best in car video's I've ever seen. Porsche needs to go racing in the C-GT in the GTR class immediately!!!

I have a small collection of Nurburgring videos ( about 20) and this is my favorite. This guy moves. And the straight cut gear whine is marvelous!! Anyone have a 911 with this style of gear box? I know that there are marginally better wear and horsepower ratings with straight cut, but the sound when you are pushing the speedo is amazing!! Thanks for the vid!

Un F'ing believable! .
And there inlies the difference between those club race track videos and a pro driver. I bet he scared the crap out of a few drivers on the track. I thought he was going to run that red 911 with the BAW(big ass wing) of the track. Man is he a joy to watch

Is that GTR running the 6 or 8 motor; sounds like the 6. Is this the same car that will run at the Rolex 24?
That's an amazing piece of driving; the speed he carries through the kinks is unbelievable. He swallows 911's like they were 912's. 'Then there's that gearbox sound; amazing!!! I wonder if I install the GT straight cut gearbox, if I could duplicate that sound. j.p. Last edited by jpahemi; 01-30-2005 at 09:49 PM.. |

Ultimate driving machine? It looked like he took about 8:10 for that lap based on when he went under the BMW bridge at the beginning and end. Isn't that about the time for a stock 996? Hard to believe a Carrera GT does it 30 seconds faster...
The gearbox had a standard double-H pattern, not sequential. |

Glad you guys like the vid, even if it isn't a P-car atleast it's a former P-car factory driver. Definately worth the wait for the large file.

Jon, I believe the lap record is Nordschleife only (North Loop). Here he does both the new and old track.
For having driven a race car there, I can tell he is *very* fast. |

George is right it,s the "circuit" version he does here. This is the route like they use on the 24 hour races. Still one of the best drives i,ve seen so far this man is very, very fast on the ring !! The best ringvideo i have is from Jackie Stewart doing the ring in a formula one car.

YeeeHaaa!!! Stuck definitely put the "Flug" into the "Flugplatz".
The video definitely shows the difference between a race driver and a DE'er. I'll have to check to see how Stippler and his 911 have held up against Stuck and the BMW. Quote:
