Removed alarm, starter kill switch???
Hi,
I just removed the alarm in my '73 911. It was a pretty clean install and the only wire affected was the starter wire which was cut near the ignition switch. Well since the wire is cut, I wanted to wire in a starter kill switch. It won't prevent someone from push starting the car, but it might stop someone from a stupid joy ride. What kind of switch should I get? I am worried that I might not get a switch that can handle the amperage going through that wire. Thanks, Neil

Neil,
If you want a foolproof switch that completely disables starting or running ... but will still be able to be cranked, forget the #50 STARTER LEAD -- just splice it back together. Instead, find the Black/Violet wire to the tach ... and use a switch to ground that lead! The engine won't fire as long as that lead is grounded. Not even with the key in the ignition!!!
