3.6 Carrera update #1
Today I finalized the last component for my project. Everything is now on its way over here, where in 1w (give or take 2 days) we'll start putting everything together.
Here is what we'll do to my Carrera: - 1997 Euro 3.6 Varioram - Timmins conversion kit - Carbon Fiber heat tube (I thought it looked neat) ![]() - Dual in - Dual out stainless steel IG exhaust + cat - RSR g50 clutch upgrade - K&N cone filter kit (looks nice plus it's easier to fit) - IG custom chip - Setrab 72 row oil-radiator kit (center mounted) - Bilstein Sport - 21mm TRG hollow front t-bar - 30mm TRG hollow rear t-bar - TRG front and rear adj sway bars - Elephant racing plybronze bearings - Monoballs - TRE 934 style front bumper - TRE IROC style rear bumper - 930 steel fenders - 930 rear flares - Lindsey Racing 9.5s and 11s Fuchs - Brembo GTPs brake kit - Guard Transmission LSD I think this is it for the moment. I wanted to thank everybody on the board for helping me spending an insane amount of money on a perfectly good car... It's time now for me to give back a little... ![]() ![]() |

Elombard
Let's say that I could have bought a 95 993 coupe for the price of the parts. then again I will be able to recoup some of the expenses by selling the parts I am upgrading. Goat I am going to run my Carrera tail.... We'll see on the track if it is not enough. The original 934 was running the early turbo tail, which is quite similar to the Carrera one. Mike The tips have been custom made. I wanted to avoid the noisy factory option. Stay tuned, I will tell you how it sounds More info at: http://www.instant-g.com/Products/Exhausts/Instant-G36/ Here is a pic of what the exhaust looks like: ![]() another one ![]() another ![]() And this is the car as it it now ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I am going to have 930 flares welded on the rear fenders. 11s should fit ok. Taking the pics today made me wonder if I am doing the right thing about going widebody... The car looks really really sharp and classy as it is.... |

Then I can't find anything to criticize at all. It'll be an awesome, one-of-a-kind beast.

Geeeez, save some stuff to do for later instead of doing it all at once. You're gonna be bored after that.
![]() Seriously, that will be one cool car, especially w/ the 934/IROC bumpers |
