@ted...the dish on those rear wheels is insane. Looks fantastic. You're in SD? Would love to see it in person.
Also, where did you source your Avon tires? I need to order a set.

Looking good Mike! How does the vintage racing work out with a 3.6 engine? Do you just get classed with gt cars or exhibition or something? Looked into vintage rules a bit for a car I'm thinking of building and the rules seemed much tighter than the typical poc or pca regs. Didn't look like I'd be able to put in a newer bigger engine.

That is a qualifying lap at Sears Point for a PRC race. That time is still a class record by over a second. The car has the second and third best qualifying laps too. I was still having some issues with gas/brake pedal spacing so heel/toe is non-existent. Third gear was too tall relative to second so there are some issues with gear choices in a couple of places. The car is fantastic to drive. Originally I was using 16" Goodyear bias ply slicks. The lap above was done on Avon bias-ply slicks. Now the car is setup on 16" Hoosier radials and is faster than ever. The engine is a 3.6L. The class I race in has limits on intake and exhaust so the HP at the crank is around 310. Scott |

Thank you enjoyed that, it will be my benchmark if I get my 911 to Sonoma.

You're welcome. You should come up for a PRC race weekend sometime. Sears Point is the best track on the west coast!
I haven't DE'd or raced a car at Laguna Seca yet. I have a lot of laps around the track on a motorcycle though. The PRC might have a Laguna Seca date the first weekend in August with NASA. That is still up in the air though. |

Yes, the smog crap got to me, and didn't have time to use her on the track, like I'd like to. I sold her to someone who took the motor, brakes and suspenders off for a race car tub he had laying around. Ruby's body was in Rancho Cucamonga area last I heard, waiting to be resurrected with stock bits.

I love that body style. It was what I was going to build until I realized that my project car was once a 1973, so I had to build an earlier style RSR. I still have a hole in my garage for a later RSR like this one...(but also a hole in my wallet)
Beautiful paint scheme!
