I've seen another solution where it blows air over the engine oil cooler. of course there is the eberspacher (sp?) gasoline heater but if you want A/C too they're fighting for the same location (smuggler's box). as I understand it there is a more modern gas-fired heater possiblity that has been used in the UK and doesn't sit in the smuggler's box.

Getting back to the point, I would be interested in something along this line with the heat option. ![]()

I'm sure there would be interest. Pricing? Perfomance Plus sells 3.2 turbo headers for $1200-$1400...perhaps less in a package. http://www.goingsuperfast.com/FORPORSCHE.html

The Protomotive system I have pulls the heat off the on engine oil cooler. Works well in Maryland where it doesn't get too cold. It does take a while to warm up the cockpit, but it is a nice steady heat.
I don't think it would be enough for a really cold climate (Michigan or Vermont, for example).

Do you guys have any pictures of the oil-cooler heating setup? This sounds like a good alternative.

Yes, yes I do. Top picture shows heat exchanger on the on engine oil cooler (engine is rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise on stand). Bottom pic shows the heater hoses from the exchanger that go to the flapper boxes.

Thanks Charles! Now I can get headers. I live in a warm climate, but I still like heat once in a while.
