CIS Help - Electrical hookups
Where does this plug go? I can account for all other connections. I have R & R the CIS injection system on my '83 911SC to fix some oil leaks, and cannot locate the mating end for this single electrical connection.
The connector has two wires: one brown, and the other red with a white stripe. This connection is located off of the left side engine wiring harness. Pictures are attached. Your help is appreciated. ![]() ![]() ![]()

If I recall correctly, it is just a test connection (Grady?). Mine is also just hanging there. I would not worry about it,

Not sure if the 83 had the thermo valve. My 78 has one, it is a vacuum valve with a heating element that enrichens the mixture during start up it is located behind the warmup reg near the firewall. On the 78 schematic the two wires are brown and red/white. Looks like a disc with two vacuum lines and an electrical connection.

Ron's right. It goes to the thermovalve which should be mounted on the bracket that is visible above your hand in the top picture. It is the very brightest thing at the center of the very top of the picture.
