315/30-18s on 10.5" Rim - Can Do?

Anybody have actual experience putting a Pirelli 315/30-18 on a 10.5 inch rim? Any pix of the fit? I konw 11s are optimal but the 10.5s have a better backspacing for my application. Currently I am running a 295/30-18 which is rather small for the rim.

The tire will not be as flat, but it should work fine. I run 315 30 18 BFG drag radials on my 11.5 inch rims. I am going to try 345's next time it is a little wide for my 11.5 inch rim just like what you want to do but it should be fine. Best thing to do is try and find someone with an extra and mount it if you can.

I run 315's on 11's. My opinion is that you'll be fine.

Eric - 345s? What series are those tires? There may be enough sidewall hieght to get away with it. I ran 345/35s on my 11.5" Fuchs just fine. Sidewall is a whopping 4.75". Looks like a truck tire compared to the 295/30s.

Jack - you are running 17" rims correct? Tires are 315/35-17? Mine are 30 series giving a reduced sidewall hieght. That is what I am wondering about. The 315/35 would have a 4.34" sidewall hieght as compared to a 3.72" sidewall on the 315/30.
