necessary to install vapor kit for weber shields?

curious about this install. this is the misc hoses that run from the shields and "all of these kind of things". in searching through the archives and reviewing pics of engine bays - i noticed some run it and some don't. my kit included plumbing hose - you know the tranparent plastic hose with diamond shaped pattern or "webbing". all the engine bays show cloth braided fuel line type hose. are you guys swapping these hoses out from the kit?
