Speedo Counting UP!
In the middle of rewiring the dash on my 77 C3...following the Bentley Bible and wired up the Speedo. Powered it up to check and found the mileage counter counting up and I'm doing 40km/hr! I'd done 27km's sitting on jack stands before switching off. The car's got no engine in it so I was thinking maybe it needs the speedo sensor connected to stop this. Thought about leaving it counting up and eventually going round the clock back to 00000...but that's called 'clocking' and I think it's illigal. Seems to be related to the headlights/illumination loom but I've checked EVERYTHING. The Bentley circuit is for an SC and has an extra circuit for the mileage counter but my dial has this built in. Any pointers? Cheers M

They talk about those cars that look fast when they are standing still...
Thats an odd one.
