what can you do about stock seat sagging?

In my old MG, you used to be able to buy a new seat foam.

What is the deal with stock leather seats on my 81'SC?

Does anyone know anyone in Ontario that can "restuff" seats?

Any reputable auto-upholstery shop should be able to help you.

Stock seat foam used to be available and may still be. Check the PET CD.

Aren't the seat springs partly to blame?

Guys,

There is a real art to this.

An upholstery expert who is familiar with 911 seats can do wonders. The seat can be brought back to original like new condition using the original cover if in suitable condition. It can also have some “performance enhancement” by over stuffing the bolsters, and tying down the springs in the seat and back. It is reasonably possible to have a stock seat perform as a “Sport Seat” and still appear stock.

We had one such craftsman here in Denver but he now only does Targa tops - better fitting than original.

To add my lame opinion; I like cloth inserts in leather seats. You don’t slide, they breathe better, are warmer in winter, and are cooler if the sun has been on them.

Best,
Grady

Best,

Grady, do you have any contacts for this?? The stock seats in my '72 "look" fantastic, but underneath...they can use some help. Plus, I'd like something slightly more supportive for DEs.

Thanks in advance!

The foam I was referring to is premolded to shape, at least so I was told.
