Strut bar purchase!

Gents, purchased my new after market front tower strut bar today from our host and got my free 1/43 model to boot! How can I avoid a wheel alignment after I install it? Or will a alignment be needed. I had an alignment when I put new tires on very recently, hate to do it again

It depends what model strut bar you purchased.
Mine is a Brey Krause part, which attaches with the two rear bolts. If yours is similar (and many are) you can carefully loosen the bolts and attach the brackets without shifting your strut and losing your alignment. There will still be one bolt holding the strut in place while you work. Just try not to lean on the fender while you work.

Check the torque (35lbs.) on the front bolts to insure that it won't pop out of alignment when you loosen the rear bolts.

Just do one side at a time and you should be good.

If I may suggest, get new lock washers, once used they do not hold too well.

Great thing about the strut bar is that if you ever need to align it yourself, the bar's adjustment feature helps the adjustments needed.

Remember get the OEM Lock Washers. It is the ones with teeth. Concaved facing up, like a cup.
