MFI pressure gauge P233b banjo bolt

Does anyone know where I can buy the banjo bolt, I believe it is 14mm x 1.5 x ≈45mm, for the MFI fuel pressure gauge, P233b? The bolt I'm talking about is in the center of this picture. Thanks.

Looks like a decent machine shop could make one...if nothing else shows up.

The 14mm x 1.5 thread double banjo bolt sells for $13.95 There are out of stock at the moment and need an order of over $100 to place a new order. I need a few of these bolts for a reproduction gauge I'm making along with some other FI fittings I need, so I went ahead and placed an order for 10. Should have them next week. If anyone wants one let me know and I will send them out next week to you via USPS mail ( USA ONLY) for my cost of $13.95 each.

Thanks Mark!! I definitely want one. How do you want me to pay? PayPal is easy if you accept it. Just send me a PM with your Paypal email address or your mailing address so I can send a check. Thanks again, David

Mark,

You have PM. I’ll get an extra one. (I think I paid Porsche about $13 for the entire gauge in 1969 )

Here is the best I can come up with.

http://www.metricmcc.com/catalog/Ch8/8-842.pdf
Part # 7643S Nominal size 8 is the closest I can find but too short I think.

Call them. They probably are the original supplier to Porsche.

Specs on the Hollow Bolt from my picture used above are:
Wrench hex – 19 mm
Thread size – 14x1.5
Thread length - ~13 mm
Length under head – 42 mm
OD of tube - ~14 mm (measures 13.97 mm)
ID of tube - ~9 mm (measures 9.07 mm)
Side holes (total of four) - ~6 mm

A good solution is to use an extra standard hollow bolt and drill the hex end for a fitting. A size -4 will do. Another is to simply use a ‘tee’ and extra piece of hose in the fuel hose attached to this banjo fitting. When making a fuel pressure gauge, it is useful to be able to extend the hose so the gauge can be read by a co-pilot while you drive. Some problems (like restricted fuel screen in the tank) only manifest themselves after extended driving under load.

As usual, use extreme caution with fuel. Gasoline is the most dangerous substance you normally ever come in contact with – unless you build nuclear weapons. The 911 you save will be your own. Use the good N-S clamps on all connections – even temporary.

Best,
Grady
