Help Me Identify Oil Line
Looking at the parts CD, this leaky line looks like it might be 930 107 348 11 ?? I just got the CD & I'm not that familiar with it yet. It is a big flexible line that couples with the return line from the front cooler (?) and a hard line (Engine Block Oil Pressure Line) as you can see. It is leaking at both ends. Pic taken from pass wheel well looking back.
Another thing added to the growing list . . . Thanks Ian

Ian,
Looking at PET, that hose-pipe assembly appears to be 930.107.743.12 for 930.20/25/26 or 930.107.743.10 for 930.66/68. It goes from the pipe behind the engine along the inner fender well to the thermostat. Best, Grady EDIT to correct typo

Thanks for the 'directions' Phil & Grady. I was getting confused with all the oil line variations. It looks like it's H 107-743-12 @ $87.50 for '87s with cooler.
Ian

I agree Ian, looks like H 107-743-12 is '84-'89. I replaced my hose recently on my '81 with C-107-743-10.

Thanks Terry. That's the one to the right.
Just for a laugh, I checked the local Porsche dealer. It is special order & they quoted $298.94 Cdn for it!!!! Of course, I do get a 10% PCA discount . . . Pelican to the rescue! Ian

Make sure you have the right length. For some reasons, the rubber section of the after market ones tend to run 2-3" long, making it impossible to install without a serious kink.
Measure the rubber section, make sure they get the right length before they send it out.

Ha! I bet for another $300, they'd even install it for you.
I was surpised how little oil actually came out. I had a big pan ready, but just stuffed a rag in the end lost almost nothing. |
