Dumb question about Fuchs

I've seen 15" Fuchs for sale at reasonable prices all over the place but everyone seems to want 16". What are the advantages of the larger wheel besides bling?

And for the 15s, the big selling point seems to be reduced ratios for AX events. Smaller diameter = quicker to spin = acceleration.

Least, that's how I understand it.

The main problem with the 15 is that you can't get a good selection of tires for them, especially compound. I have to run 225 front and back, because all that you can in 245 for the 15x8" rear wheel is Hoosiers. An extra 20mm width in the rear would be real nice, especially on the big track.

On the other hand, 225/225 with a cheap set of Kumhos make a great set of autocross wheels / tires. You will appreciate the better actual ratio if you get out of a tight AX turn in second gear.
