16 X 7" Fuchs
Hi Guys,
Will 16 X 7" Fuchs be too skinny on a Wide Body 911? Will I want wider wheels in the back? I can get a good deal on 4 16 X 7's... and I want a set of street tires on fuchs (the 16's and I'll run my 17's at the track). Scott. edited the subject line...

They might be OK for the front..many Turbo's and Turbo-Look cars ran these in the front with 205's , although you can obviously go wider...
Too skinny for rears...... Wil

I am in the same situation. I don't think they will look right. I decied to go with new 964 cup wheels instead of the deep dish 16x9's. I like the deep dish wheels on the back but I got a great deal on 4 new cups with new tires. Too good to pass up. I really like the way they look on the car. I am glad I got them.

Unclebilly,
I have 215/45ZR17's up front and 215/40ZR17's in the rear. I also have spacers installed, 2 inch in the back and 1 inch up front. I'm thinking the 7's alone, without the spacers may not cut it... ![]() Randy

the wider the better they look, I went from 7's to 9's on the rear of mine it transformed the look of the car...

Hmmm. Thanks for the replies.
I can get 4 16X 7s for $600, they are the american made replicas and are brand new except that 3 have been stripped for polishing. I think maybe I'll pass and wait for a set that's right, I'd also prefer to get forged Fuchs to the cast knockoffs.

Hey Billy - are those the ones in the bargain finder? If so, I called the guy and he mentioned that they were in a minor fire, but didn't mention that they were replicas

You should be able to get 4 real 16x7s in nice shape for about the same money.
I think the 7s will just look wrong on a widebody car without large spacers. |

Andrew,
I looked at them this morning. They're replicas and one looks like the paint was removed with heat... The other 2 are stripped and one is mint.
