Help! Fast idle... trouble starting
The patient was healthy until yesterday when he started idling at 1900-2200 rpm. Also, had trouble starting when cold... engine would catch and then die. Overcame starting problem by hitting the accelerator when the engine turned over.
Only mods are SW chip (installed over a year ago) and pre muffler and sport muffler. No trouble until yesterday. I hope it's not the DME. Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks.

Try the dme relay under the drivers seat-pretty cheap to buy.
erratic idle (up to 2k and then almost stalling)and poor starting,car stalling at junctions and refusing to restart especially when the car is warm is a good sign of dme relay failure.
