Cold control pressure was 65 psi (with the engine stone cold) - much higher than spec. System pressure 75 psi (normal), rest pressure 22 psi after 10 minutes (normal).
Car was bucking, backfiring badly, wouldn't rev, bad exhaust smell, hard to start, rough idle.

All the pressures are in the normal range with the new WUR. I still haven't got the CO set right yet, but the car is driveable, just down on power. I'll get it right eventually........still think I'm too rich.

If you search you can find the push/pull method of setting your CO, or you can adjust to the point just before the idle speed fluctuates, or (of course) you can have it set w/ a gas analyzer. JW likes 3.5%.

But wouldn't a bad WUR only affect the first few minutes of drivability? I know my WUR is bad, but I just have to let the car sit for 1-2 min. after cold startup and then it's fine. I had had the mixture way rich, but the wrench brought it down from 5.25% to 2.25% and everything is MUCH better now. I guess I'll start planning on a WUR rebuild or tweak, but I can live with a 1-2 min. warm-up before taking off.

Warm-up regulator affects control pressure all the time.
I think mine was causing too high a pressure all the time, and causing a very lean run condition. I tested the new WUR after install and it spec'd out perfectly.
