My 911 reso project
Well, I finallt finished the last wheel on my 75 911S. Got new shocks, new tie rod ends new rotors, rblt calpers, new ball joints, new CV joint and half shafts, and new brake lines.
I need to start on the FI, and I am afraid the car has junk (rust, ect) in the tank and fuel lines. Not sure, just suspect. Has anyone here cleaned out a 911's fuel system before? Where should I start? I was thinking to start with the tank, inspect it and see if it has gunk in it, them work my way finally thru the hoses, pumps, ect to the engine. Any advice? Is there a paticular place junk hides out in the fuel system on a 911? Thanks!

I'd remove the fuel filter and do an autopsy with a hack saw first thing.

Don't pump fuel into the FI system if you think it is contaminated. It will make your task 10x difficulty...
