79 with a 3.6
I was wondering how difficult it is to put a larger engine in a 79 911. Is it really feasible to put a 3.6 in 1979?

It used to be unusual. Now you can't throw a rock without hitting a 3.6 swap.
In terms of bang-for-buck, it's hard to beat. That said, it still involves a lot of bucks. ![]() The Johnny Appleseed of the 3.6 swap is Steve Timmins. Check out his site.

There are several in the Seattle area....Post a message on the Pelican NW site (http://forums.pelicanparts.com/pacific-northwest-us-wa-id-ut-hi-ak/)
and you'll get eager folks like Alex, Craig and maybe Dane to fill you in with a show and tell. Come to the XXX in Issaquah the 2nd Sat. morning of the month to see for yourself....Bob S

I've seen the 3.6 swap into everything from a '69 to an '89, coupe, targa and cab.
They all make a great home for a 3.6
