Lining up dizzy for valve adjust

My 69T has a Marelli dizzy. I am unable to see any marks on the edge of the dizzy at all. There are no noticeable nicks, grooves, or markings of any sort. I have looked all around the dizzy and expect to find it in the area of the #1 wire, but there's nothing anywhere.

Is this typical of the Marelli? Is the mark elsewhere?

I assume I should be able to tell by the crank showing Z1 TDC, the valve arms being full out, and the rotor pointing at the position where the #1 wire would sit if the cap were on.

My other problem is there are no clearly discernable markings for 120 degrees on the crank wheel. I think I can maybe see the first, but nothing of note for the second at 240. Again, if I've started right, am I safe to go by the rotor pointing at the proper cylinder and the valve arms being full out?

The only clear markings are Z1 and close to the right of it, two other marks close together. These are highlighted in yellow. As I said, no other really discernable markings.

Any thoughts, or advice is appreciated.

Jim
