911 rotors

I'm converting my 914 to the early 1975 or , 911 front suspension. Can anyone tell me the min thickness for a safe 911 rotor. I can be turned down to what? Thanks...Robert vinylconcepts@hotmail.com

The machine limit is 18.6mm, taken symmetrically

Yup...wire brush the hub and you'll find the minimum specs stamped into the outside non-wear area. Paint and grime tend to obiterate the thin markings. The font is huge so you really can't miss it once you start cleaning...

The stamp indicates on my 72 911T that the minimum thickness is .709 in.

Rotors

Hey thanks guys. Does ayone have the Porsche number for new front bearings and seals inner and outer, are they the same as 914?
Now to just rebulid my "M" calipers, use my redrilled 914 Hubs and add my 914/6 rotors with the 914 rear brakes. If you can think of any more tips in this area that would be great.
Thanks again.

Rotor thickness

When I bought the 911 suspension three years ago the guy I bought it from said that the rotors were almost new. They have no grooves and it looks to me that they are .805 in thickness. seems to be acceptable yes? Should I turn them anyway just to make sure they are true?
Thanks...Robert

Rotors

Ok one more question.
I'm going to run 15 x 6's Fuchs with 205/ 60/15 in front and 15 x 7's Fuchs with 225/60/15 in the rear. My 914 has the 916 fiberglass flairs on it. After adding the 911 suspension to the front, how much farther will it space the hubs outward? I want to add a spacer to bring the rears outward near the same amount, I was thinking about a 1.25 or maybe a 1.50? Any ideals?
Robert

911 rotors do not need to be turned and rarely warp (if at all). Measure them and if they are in spec put them on. Bed in the new pads to mate the two surfaces and drive.
