I'm gonna stop by and take a look. It is SHARP in pics for sure -

You mean these obviously :) Hard to see them stuffed behind that hot rod 3.6 You ought to see the inside of the fender lips. Now there is where the real talent showed and you'll never even see the effort. But you can feel it any time you walk by the car.

I couldn't afford that kind of detailing. But it was just one of many details Mark thought should be done to "finish" the car so he just did them.

Craig 930 RS 05-13-2005 09:11 AM

BY THE WAY***

Mark did all paint and repair work on my 'new' 930. Perfect.

Craig 930 RS 05-13-2005 09:11 AM

OK if I post a few pics?......taking the digi camera

rdane 05-13-2005 09:14 AM

Go for it. Just post them in this thread if you will? And no, you can't drive it before me!!!

Shuie 05-13-2005 09:27 AM

You guys and your updates of your incredible cars....

Im so damn jealous. I need to go do something cool to mine now :). Between drooling over pics of your car and Craig's new beast Ive been on the phone with the fuel safe people and the guy at SMART Racing already this morning.

rdane 05-13-2005 09:29 AM

Naw..just buy Craig's or Jason's 3.6 hot rod, Shuie and be done with it.

lateapex911 05-13-2005 10:02 AM

Dane, what is the muffleer? Your description makes it sound desirable.

rdane 05-13-2005 10:15 AM

It is a prototype from Triad. They are local for me and have built a couple of other pipes for Pelican members with 3.6 trans plants. Haven't said much or photographed it intentionally because I wanted to get dyno results (before and after) and post them first. Also need to get the muffler coated next week before I do all that..

Bolts right up to the stock heat exchangers, sounds good and gives me a lot more room behind the bumper...which should mean less heat issues with engine cooling and the fiberglass bumper.

JonT 05-13-2005 10:18 AM

Didn't Triad already do a muffler for 993 headers?

rdane 05-13-2005 10:20 AM

Yes, but this one is a one off, prototype, as I said.

JonT 05-13-2005 10:21 AM

Sounds cool--car is looking incredible! I'll need to update my muffler for my 3.6 soon so I'll be interested to see it.

rdane 05-13-2005 10:24 AM

Jon, the idea was to square the tips and make sure the muffler fit under the typical SC bumper easily. Should be perfect for your car. The price is right even adding in a cermaic coating added.

If it works as good as I hope Triad will own the 3.6 transplant market on price alone.

Argeo 05-13-2005 10:45 AM

Dane,
Yeah, I guess you are right about the galvized coating removal. I had to remove a lot of mine to fix dings, dents and rot. I sort of figure the same thing but I wasn't too concerned due to the dry weekend usage.

I'll post when I finish up but here is a teaser for the mean time.

I guess I can't post pictures.

Sorry.

Craig 930 RS 05-13-2005 11:13 AM

Just got back from Eurotech - here are all the pics I took, except the muffler pic out of respect for Dane's wishes.

Guys, the car represents hand-crafted goodness in a way that is indescribable. Attention to detail *everywhere*. The flares.....phenomenal. The color, flat-out cool.

The interior is going to be sharp and unique - in a great way.
The upholsterer was there finishing up - good guy, great work.

Wow.

Oh, my! Just look at that sissy, white headliner :)

Funny this entire project started with a rock chip in the windshield 6 months ago and just wanting to replace the 25 year old headliner. The results? Amazing!

Thanks Craig! Marks says she will be rolling for Sunday. Bring your cars out!

Craig 930 RS 05-13-2005 11:25 AM

Psst......their stated goal to me was to be finished earlier than Sunday -

She is quite close, closer than appears.
