that color is great, i really like it...question though, is that just a shell or is the interior behind the masking?

Previous threads detailing the work over the past 4 months.

I have wondered at times if it was worth the wait. I was lucky enough to have a buddy loan me one of his 911s when I went into convulsions or I would have never made it through the winter ;) Thanks Alex, I owe you big time!

No question my answer came today when I stepped into the paint booth. It was worth the wait.

Mark and crew at Eurotech here in Kirland WA have done an amazing job beginning to end. I couldn't be happier with their efforts and suggestions.

Chipped and dyno tuned, 280 rwhp, '95 3.6 with CUP cams and a custom exhaust goes in this weekend.

Interior looked like this 4 months ago. It has also been totally redone but in a very similar color scheme as this.

Paint is a Glazurit blue metallic. Close to the older gemini blue or newer zenith blue.

mjshira 05-05-2005 06:30 PM

sounds very simular to the engine Tyson is building for me. good luck!

rdane 05-05-2005 06:39 PM

Going into the cab?

,,freakin sweet man!

kenikh 05-05-2005 08:19 PM

Fingers crossed...

randywebb 05-05-2005 08:47 PM

You'll have to post some pics next to Gemini and Zenith when you're done.

It looks to have a more "pearly" quality than they do - very lustrous and beautiful... maybe it's not too late for me to change my mind on Gemini....

sushinav 05-05-2005 09:07 PM

Nice car! I just completed my brown to blue project on my car too. My 87 is now Bali Blue from 1964.

Randy there were two cars in Gemini blue at Monterey over last weekend. It is a very close match to my paint just a bit less "pop" to Gemini.

Be hard to tell the two colors apart unless they were sitting side by side.

Here are the two cars from Monterey, both Gemini blue that matched side by side.

This is one car in harsh late afternoon sun.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1115356222.jpg

This is the other car in early morning light. Good flop to Gemini blue.

So many blues to pick from. Take a look at the Glasurit color chips. Hate to see two cars the same one off color.

randywebb 05-05-2005 09:28 PM

Thx - BTW, which East side? of the Cascades? If so, how far north? I wanna see that car...

rdane 05-05-2005 09:31 PM

I'm in Issaquah and should be on the run over the 21st.

Simply stunning, Dane!

I can't wait to see how the finished product looks!

450knotOffice 05-05-2005 11:32 PM

Good God...that is the most beautiful color I've ever seen on a Porsche!

livi 05-06-2005 02:45 AM

Thatīs a hugely attractive color ! Was it offered as an original color by Porsche or did you come up with it yourself ?

Very nice !

At first I was disapointed that you did not do the fuel filler through the hood but now I see it would not really fit the personality of the car. Beautiful Dane, very tastefully done.

KTL 05-06-2005 05:44 AM

I think at this point you've done all you can do (and multiple times too) to that car.

When you get it back together? You better just drive, drive, drive, drive............ and enjoy the hell out of it! :p
