What Torque Wrench
I'm working on my first valve adjustment. What torque wrench do you guys use for the valve covers, a bar and dial type that starts at zero, or one of those little screwdriver types? I need to add to my ever evloving tool collection.

I had my local bike shop order me one of these for the times I need torque values in inch/pounds (like valve covers):

Sears has a clearence on a digital one for $60.00 marked down from $ 200.00 I just bought it. It has a wire that runs to the specail coupler and a large read out that sits right in front of you

I bit the bullet and purchased Snap-On Torque Wrenches.
I have the Model#'s QDR2FR75 - Flex-Ratchet - 3/8" drive - 5 - 75 FT/Lbs and the digital model: Tech1FRM240 - Flex-Ratchet - 1/4" drive - 2 - 20 Ft/Lbs.

It was with all the other torque wrenches I guess it was to sophisticated for the average wrench. I don't know how many times I will use it but looks pretty cool !

I don't use any. I just do it by feel. You can too.
Just be careful -- 'cuz if you put too much torque on, you'll have to buy those $300 valve covers....

Not that it matters - you should always buy more tools - but do you even need a torque wrench for the valve covers? My torque wrench (big cheap Chinese 1/2" drive model) wouldn't come close to fitting in the space, so I used a standard 1/2" drive ratchet and just torqued to something that felt "snug". No leaks.

Thanks all, like JYL states, I was just looking for an excuse to buy more tools.

In that case, I don't think you can do this job properly without an air compressor and air ratchet.
