Kill Switch Relay: Where can I get one?

I'm looking for a relay that is naturally closed (and then open onced powered) for my kill switch. This is to dump alternator current back through a resistor an davoid damaging the diodes.

I went to my local auto store where the guy threw a 20 page relay book at me. Couldn't find the right one or one that could take the amps. I think I need 75A. Correct?

Anyway, any sources for this would be great.

Thanks
Tristan

I am interested in doing this... but have little idea where to start. When you get this sorted out, any chance you could put together a little how-to?

Sure, it's very basic but I just can't find the right relay!

They are available from Jegs, or if you want a standard relay, you simply need to go to a Radio Shack or other electronics supply. You need a relay with NC poles with contacts that will handle the amperage.

Thanks. Went to Jegs. There are 5 pages of Relays! The only ones I could see that might take the amps are the starter relays. But there is no data on closed vs. open. I'll have to call.
