964 Check Engine Light on/off

THe check engine light went on during a 1000 mile trip, all vitals perfect, car runs excellent. When I stopped to check everything out and restarted it was off. Went back on a couple hundred miles later, again everything fine. Went off by itself today. I will have it checked at a local shop next week, just wonder if there is anything I can check out before then?

Got an answer on Rennlist. If anyone with a 964 wants to read his own Fault codes, its built right into the system! Check this site out -

My fault code was 1232, which is an intermittant failure of the Knock Sensor II. Thats it!
