Anyone used RXP engine additive?

I failed my State inspection because of too high an HC reading (I have no cat), so the guy tells me to put some RXP in the tank and drive around a bit. This stuff comes in an orange bottle that looks like a Tabasco sauce bottle. So I put some in the tank, drive around a bit an go back for a re-test. I pass HC, but fail CO2. Now the guy tells me I have to burn it off completely and then come back with a clean tank. What have I done to my engine? It says 'Gas Kicker' and 'engine de-carbonizer', whatever that is supposed to mean. Tell me I didn't just screw up my engine.

Thanks,
rickdm

I used it to pass my final emissions inspectiton in Dallas County. You just have to run through the entire tank of gas to burn it out. It won't harm anything. After that, gas up with high octane (93 around here), run the engine until regular operating temperature and retest.

If you still fail, consider a tuneup (check the past threads). After RXP and new plugs/wires/dist. cap, I passed with flying colors.
