How to safely remove dash trim on '72T???

ok, so I'm stripping and cutting the '72 to backdate the C3, and I'm stuck at the point of disassembling the dashboard.

How do I SAFELY remove the dash trim (the silver strip with black vinyl) - I don't see any tabs or fasteners. Is it glued on? Do I need to heat the backside of the dash to remove it?

I just removed a section at a junkyard to harvest the vinyl for a radio faceplate. The glove box piece was just held on with double face tape.
