Random Cold Start Problem
Been having a wierd one lately....
83 SC.. about once a month it has a problem starting cold, where it will go, but you have to floor it, and it maybe gets to 2000 RPM, but it runs really rough and backfires like crazy for about half a minute, then it's fine... Only does it like once a month and seems to only happen on damp mornings.... |

Sounds like a cold start valve or whatever they call it on a SC. I bet if you were in a colder climate it would happen more than once a month.

So what, is it leaking or is it simply not functional?

Also, if you have to floor it, thats a problem. Your not suppose to give a porsche throttle on start up. hook up gauges and check pressures. Thats alway a start...

Sounds like it's probably your WUR. As previously said, check control pressures, especial Cold CP.

When i said full throttle, i meant to keep it running otherwise it just dies... Every other time, she fires up right on the first time, purring... |
