How to search for multiple words
Is it possible to search this forum for two words that appear together such as "valve adjustment"? I've tried:
valve+adjustment "valve adjustment" valve adjustment valve adjustment valve AND adjustment The all return threads that have the word valve and adjustment any where in the text not just when they are next to each other.

That's pretty much all we can do. Nothing less than 3 characters either. I thought the quotes worked as you thought, but no?

two characters if you do "CV?"
you might try doing a site specific search using Google a space usually = a logical OR AND usually means anywhere besides the quoted phrase, what you really want is an adajency operator -- only expensive search engines have them from my experience

The quotes won't help. The method that I use is to keep adding words to work toward the information I'm seeking. If you search for the words: valve and adjustment you get 1508 threads. Just by adding: feeler and gauge to the search it's narrowed down to 86 threads.
