Hi
I have a 75 911 with alternator problems. I've had it "rebuilt" and returned to the repairer three times. I have decided to repair it myself as I now have the time and feel I am more capable than the "experts" here. I found open circuit rectifier diodes causing the problem. I need to purchase replacement diodes but don't know the part numbers ![]() Any help would be greatly appreciated. ![]() Alternator is a Motorola S.E.V. the only markings on the case of the alternator are the numbers 712 330 02 (part no?) and 14/70 (man date?) Thanks in advance Ray |

I just had my 86's alternator rebuilt by the following folks:
Alternator/Starter Express http://autoexpress.safeshopper.com/index.htm?274 They give you a three year guarantee. The shipping and labor came to a total of $113. The regulator, bearings etc were all replaced with new parts and I extremely pleased with their workmanship and customer service. I found them on this forum and recommend them to anyone. JB |
