Gents,
I have an opportunity to buy a 1973 MFI pump with the stacks (just those parts) for $1000 dollars. Questions: 1. The German seller states the system is from a 2.7, part # 0408-126-010. Can someone here confirm if this is true or the part # lines-up with a E-S motor? 2. Is this too much for just these two parts of the system? I'll be replacing the 46 Webers. 3. Is MFI really worth the hype? My car is not totally original, (1970T w/ 73 motor). I'm not a racer, so is it in your opinion to keep the Webbers, switch over to MFI if the price is cheap, or just but new PMOs? Thanks ahead for any response - good or bad. Vr, Bavaria

0408-126-010 70/71' 2.2E pump
Those 46 Webers should be worth some bucks. Enough I would think to get you into an S MFI setup or atleast close to a new set of 40mm PMOs. I'm wondering what size ports you have on your motor considering it has 46 Webers on it. If it's ported larger than 36mm (S spec) then an S MFI won't match up. Sometimes the S MFI setups come up for sale. It's kind of a timing thing. If you can't find one then you can get something like an E setup bored out and have the pump recalibrated.

As Bobby stated - 0408 126 010 is from a 2.2 911E.
The 2.7 RS pump number is 0408 126 019

I would just compare prices with Uncle Zak's website. He seems to specialize in early MFI parts and engines. He has a reputation on this board for being hard to get hold of, but I have never found this by phone. I would use his website as reference only. If you have questions or interest call him. This is not a plug but simply a source to reference prices. IMOP, I would think you could find better unless these parts are rebuilt and mint. I've seen 2.4's complete with MFI go for $3500 on here. Everyone wants a 3.X engine these days.

These guys are well known and are really good, but probably can't give you a good reference for used prices. It might be useful to see how much a mixed match setup would cost to tune and rebuild before buying though: http://www.supertecperformance.com/ (though their website is down for now, hmm)

Andy - thanks. I did remember that 019 was for the RS, but wasn't sure about # 010... if it's for the 2.2, then I don't want it.
Look on the German EBAY. If someone wants it, at a "buy it now" for 850 Euros...around $1000. But you still need to buy alot more system parts. Luke - Yes, Zak is a friendly guy. I called him two years ago and talked to him. He was very helpful. Bavaria

I bought a complete set-up - carbs/PMO manifolds/linkage/K&N watershields - completely overhauled/rebuilt by Bieker Engineering for $2500 earlier in the year.
What condition are yours in ? Do they come with original Porsche manifolds or the PMO versions ? If they have the Porsche manifolds I could be interested. andyjboy@hotmail.com

Andy,
First - the car is in storage and I am 2,500 miles away. I am not selling any parts until I return from this current assignment in Germany. The complete system was bought back in 1993 from "Automotion", via mail order. I ordered the 46 carbs and manifold package. They are in great shape - my guess they have no more than 15K on them. If I do sell them, I'll email you in advance. Bavaria
