Question Ignition Leads

Just a quick question, apart from RFI suppresion, what is the reason for the resistors in the ignition leads?

And what effects are there when running without the resistors in the leads?

Those of you who race seriously what ignition leads/setup do you use?

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Ray

Randy

There is no DME or other EFI system.

The car in question is a 2.8 litre high compression engine using webbers and a permertune ignition system.

Cheers

then I wouldn't worry about resistors or resistive wire -- unless you run a radio back to the pit crew
