Ben,
Site looks good, as far as you have gone. I recommend a page of technical details, a cross reference to fitment years exhaust systems, etc.
It would be good to know what materials are using, and some features / benefits of your solution - light weight, 100% stainless, bolt on, etc.. vs other mufflers on the market.
Good luck, I think you have a couple of fine products there. I assume you are working on a few more???

mpwrcpe 06-08-2005 10:24 AM

The sound clips are great. Does it cost extra to have you ride along?

Thomas Owen 06-08-2005 10:29 AM

You need to get Derek to a doctor....quickly. As the 'Motor1' he sounds like early stages of Bronchitus.

mb911 06-08-2005 10:44 AM

Bill it should have an explaination of the materials did you enter?? Anyhow all coments are very helpful thanks keep them coming

silverc4s 06-08-2005 10:57 AM

Ben,
There was some discussion on here a while back about different grades of stainless, etc. Also some mufflers are only stainless on the outside, as I understand it, and yours is all stainless construction, right? That's where I was going.

jbrinkley 06-08-2005 11:09 AM

those clips are hilarious

Scott Clarke 06-08-2005 11:23 AM

It looks like a great start. I think the pictures of un-mounted mufflers need to be better. They need to look special, because they are.

twobone 06-08-2005 11:24 AM

I think you are going to make a bundle! Go for it!

I love the web site!

From where I sit, there are very few alternatives for good quality exhausts.

There are several issues with the exhaust market right now:

- You either pay very little (Bursch) and get a mild steel painted (=rusting) exhaust or

- You pay crazy money for a Dansk, Monty or Fabspeed, which appears to have questionable quality (= weld problems, poor alignment, etc.)

I enquired here in Toronto about after-market exhaust and I got just blank stares......or the suggestion that I pay someone $1500 to custom make me an exhaust out of S.Steel

I think you should make sure you have coverage in Canada. Contact some parts suppliers up here once your product has matured a bit and you will have a wider market. Oh yeah, and up here if your car is over 20 years old....there is no smog test required...yeehhaaa!

My 2 cents:

Build two different lines of exhaust:

- Off-road - build them loud and wild

- Street - Sold and throaty!

I and many other folks would happily spend $300-400 USD in a for a quality all S.Steel street muffler that strikes a balance between noise and performance. Keep developing and perfecting!

Cheers

Mike

good point bill it needs to say all stainless not just the outside.. Thats a great point. I hope that pelican will pick up the line to help coverage in canada. fingers crossed

I like the front page (all black)... very classy, almost intriguing looking. Nice logo too.

I agree w/ above about better pics of the raw mufflers. Make the background look more like a shop floor/bench than a garage floor w/ wood scraps laying around.

It's ok to show them off unfinished/unpolished, but a bigger, more detailed pic, under better lighting would be nice. People SHOULD see those welds up close. Same for the finished, mounted units.

good luck!

Like everyone else said..page looks great, more details would be a plus..these Porsche guys are crazy for facts and figures. Dyno tested? How about a bung option? And maybe a two in/one out or maybe a 2/2 convertable to 2/1 so I can replace the Dansk that I'm not in love with.

real550A 06-08-2005 01:05 PM

I have detected a few grammatical errors, and will PM them to you.

Jays72T 06-08-2005 01:24 PM

Looks good but here's what I'd like to see more detailed pics and some production shots.

MobileWrks 06-08-2005 01:35 PM

On the main page, have a image fade in then out!! give it a bit more detail on the main to make them want to see whats inside... Takes alot of reading to see the porsche in there.. Maybe put a car,or noise intro...Looks good though... Good Luck...

MobileWrks 06-08-2005 01:39 PM
