CIS Rough Idle

I recently put my 1973.5 911 back on the road after two years in storage (and a trip from the Bay Area to Germany and back to Boston, but that's another topic...). Car has a 2.7 litre RS upgraded engine with about 15k miles since rebuild. Changed oil, filter, and plugs, adjusted valves. Car runs great, revs smoothly, lots of power, doesn't buck or stall, no smoke, minimal oil consumption. Holds idle at 950 too as it should. But the engine seems really unbalanced when idling - not rough, just unbalanced. The entire car rocks left and right.

Really weird, given that it performs otherwise exactly as it should. None of the existing threads seem to address my problem. Any ideas?

Thanks a lot!

Axel.

Have you checked you CO? Try moving the sensor plate slightly up and down to see if that smoothes it out.
