Help with bucking problem
Just completed the rebuild and its running fairly good except for a few small problems that remain. At 2200 to around 3000 rpm I get some bucking that is more prevalent when cold than hot. I also noticed the RPM's plummet like a rock between shifts. It appears the previous owner had removed the decel valve, assuming it was connected to the two hoses in this pic. Certainly the RPM dropped much slower before the rebuild.
The rebuild included 964 cams and backdated exhaust if that helps. The CO is set to around 3% and the ignition timing at 10 degrees BTDC. I think the problem may be a vacuum leak because the CO was difficult to stabilize on my Gunson. Do you think I am on the right track? ![]()

Do you feel any suction from either of those hose ends? Should they be capped?
