Question Removing indicator housing

I'm trying to remove my indicator/reverse light/brake light housing without breaking anything more!! Do the wires leading to the rear of the housing "plug-in" there or at the body end? It's a '71 911E.

Also any suggestions for polishing the interior of the housing 34 years of stuff in there.

thanks

Michael

IIRC, it has a plug in metal piece that comes off. Did you try a search? Or see if there is a pic in the online catalog?

You can clean the housing well and polish it with a metal polish - Mothers, Meguiars...

or clean well, prep & spray the Wurth silver in there.

"IIRC, it has a plug in metal piece that comes off."
would that piece cover the whole rear on the housing? & yes I did a search & looked at the diagrams with no luck.

part of it on the front; maybe whole on rear

if no one else posts you may have to fiddle with it
