Question Why the weight difference between a 3.0 and 3.2?

What is the weight difference between a 3.0 and 3.2?

I keep hearing that my 3.2 is a "pig" compared to an SC but there couldn't be that much difference in the 0.2 ltrs in engien size, is there? Both use the same 915 tranny, right?

So where is the extra weight in a 3.2? Having never driven an SC, are they really that much lighter and nimbler?

No they aren't - the wts. are in Frere.

The engine is a bit heavier, but most of the added wt. is in luxury equip. that Porsche added. Strip that all out and you will have a lot lighter car.

Or just buy an early car - those are a lot lighter than the pig-like SC's.
