Can this improve AC performance
I noticed that one of the AC line to the compressor in the engine compartment is cold to the touch. Can the AC performance be improved by wrapping this ine in some sort of insulation?
It's hot here in Texas. --- anthony |

Yes that is the suction line. The hot smaller one would be the pressure side. The change would be almost unnoticeable though in my opinion. (as far as vent temps). It might make your compressor run a little cooler though.

Subcoolers (such as a ProCooler) utilize this wasted heat absorption capability (latent heat of evaporation) to lower evaporator temperatures and make the most of installed condensing capability.
